So what's up in HR Lady's world?
Well, Hubby finally got me the treadmill I've been nagging about for the past six months or so. Yesterday I got a brand new, never used bread machine with instruction book for $20 at our Ladies Auxiliary sale so today I'm already baking a 1 1/2 lb loaf of Italian herb bread -it smells great.
Today I finally made the pants for hubby that he bought material for six years ago. He's proud of me. It's a shame it took me this long to get comfortable with my sewing machine, but that's another story.
For the first time in a little while the house was completely cleaned by Saturday afternoon and now I have lots of free time to do whatever I feel like. I'm thinking of making the skirt I bought the pattern for.
Well, everybody take care. I'm trying to get better about updates here. Since I've been working out I DO have a lot more energy, so maybe that will mean I'll get all my chores done a little more quickly.

I've been VERY naughty!
Okay, not so much, but I have been neglecting my blog and my faithful readers for a little while now.
The good news is that I've only been neglecting my blog because I've been working steadily and constantly for the last few weeks. That means afternoons are tied up in cooking and quick straightening up. Weekends are all about laundry, church, and trying to scrape up some family time. I'm crashing into bed by 8:30 every night only to drag myself out of bed and onto the treadmill every morning at 4:30.
I'm feeling great about work, life, my family, the coming holidays, and getting into shape. I've lost a few pounds without even trying -the only change I'd made initially was oatmeal for breakfast every morning and starting substitute teaching. I'm constantly torn between wanting to be called in the next day and wanting to just have a free day to shop, cook, clean, rest, etc. But I'm really glad I've managed to earn a little christmas shopping nest egg.
Spoiled-but-deserving-son should be overwhelmed by his Christmas. I have a good list of stuff I could get for hubby, but there's something I want to surprise him with and need advice. I want to get him an air compressor and air tools, but I'm not sure how many gallons, how many horses, how much PSI, etc. Anyone interested in educating me?
Oh well, still bumming over the whole coming four torturous years with Bush. I so cannot believe that many people actually voted for him. So now that he has no worries about pleasing us in a move for re-election he'll feel he has carte blanc (did I spell that right?)!
Oh, well, I can't do anything about it. I just live here.

FYI:
It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting medical studies!
1. Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
2. Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
3. Africans drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
4. Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
5. Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.
And, btw, yes I voted and I'm praying fervently that Bush is out on his a$$ in no time.

I'm still alive and...
I haven't given up on blogging. I have my sweet little kindergarteners again and I've been extremely busy between work and sewing up some pretty cool halloween costumes -Hubby will be King (as usual), I will be Queen (cuz I am) and my little darling will be a Knight. Their costumes are pretty awesome if I may say so myself.
Take care. Updates coming when I can breathe again.
