Water can extinguish fire,

If it could wash away loneliness,

... how old is oldest son? sounds like he's having a tough time at school... no friends? bullied? I might be taking it a bit too literately.
I hated school myself, bit too shy.

Where have you gone again? Hope life is not treating you too harshly. I've been unable to get onto your blog for weeks and now that I do, I find you have not posted for even longer. Love that poem - pretty deep for a kid.
